Everytime I connect to the net my Kasperky anti virus freezes up my computer and I cannot do anything.HELP!?

I Use a mobile internet stick/dongle and when I connect to the net the bloody Kasperky anti virus starts updating and freezes my computer and I cannot do anything at all on the computer and this can last for over an hour sometimes I get so frustrated I have to keep squeezing my bum cheeks tight and then relaxing and doing deep breathing just to keep calm.I have several times almost thrown the laptop on the wall but just managed to keep control of my growing insanity.Can any clever and kind person please help as I still have over two hundred days left on the cursed anti virus! Please heeelp!! Sob!Sob! sniff! sniff!!
