How can i make web advertisments go away? or at least not make any noise?

for the past few weeks i have been bombarded with web advertisments for some online game. i will be on youtube listening to music, and this ad comes up and its music is louder than the music i am listening to. it is very annoying and driving me to the point of insanity. if there is any way to get rid of it or at least make it shut up please let me know.
