Would supporters of illegal aliens be happier if our borders were open?

No. But it shouldn't be hard for someone of good character with family or a job here, to get temporary or permanent residence either inside the US or out. We need to stop wasting time worrying about harmless maids and landscapers so we can concentrate on smugglers and criminals.
